Honda Freed launch in Japan

The official premiere Honda Freed expected to launch new model within a month.

One of the magazine in Japan was published about a new model in the line of Honda, which will be released to the market of Japan. It is a Honda Freed Minivan which will replace a number of car company Honda Mobilio in both front-wheel and four-wheel drive forms.


3 different seating-arrangment types of the 1.5l i-VTEC and CVT-equipped vehicle are offered, these being an 8-seater and a 7-seater, both firsts in its class, as well as a 5-seater variant.

The Freed features a flat-floor, newly designed from the frame up, which maximizes space, as well as a unique hip-point layout that rises from front to back which provides passengers a sense of spaciousness. That's why the concept of this car are “Freedom to create the perfect lifestyle,”

The 7-seater features leader’s seats in the second row and a walk-through layout that allows passengers to access without need to adjust a seat to any row from any door.

Honda Freed are the only minivan in the 1.5l class to offer 8-passenger capacity with a 60:40 split tumble seat in the second row which creates a bench seat that allow 3 seats adults comfortable in there.

Built on a platform of the Honda Civic, minivan will be installed with Honda Fit engine, 1.5 - liter 118 - powerful engine. To manage the transmission in the Honda Freed is variator.

The dimensions of this vehicle (4 215 mm in length, 1 695 mm in width and height of 1 515) allow it to deploy 8 passengers. Also, there will be 5 - 7 bundling local minivan.

Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) system is a standard feature on the 4WD, Gi Aero and Flex i Aero models and available as an option on all others.

Others mention on Honda Freed include engine torque control, drive-by-wire throttle control,electric power steering. Suspension type is MacPherson fronts and an H-shaped torsion beam rear.
